Privacy Policy

The short version: your screenshots, videos and logos never leave your computer. Bettershots renders everything in your browser — there is no upload, no server-side processing and no copy of your images on our side.
We hold only what an account and a payment require: your email address, and a record of whether you have paid.
Who we are
Bettershots is a browser-based mockup studio operated from India. Questions about this policy, or about data we hold, go to teamgenbreakers@gmail.com.
What stays on your device
The studio runs entirely in your browser. The following never reach our servers:
- Screenshots, photos and videos you place into mockups and device frames.
- Logos and images used as objects or backgrounds.
- Microphone audio, if you enable the voice-reactive styles. Audio is analysed live in the browser and never recorded or transmitted.
- Your exports — PNG, JPEG, MP4, WebM and GIF files are produced on your machine and saved straight to your downloads.
- Your designs and presets, which are stored in your browser’s local storage so your work is still there when you return. Clearing your browser data deletes them permanently; we cannot recover them.
What we collect
If you create an account
Accounts are handled by Clerk, our authentication provider. Clerk stores your email address, sign-in credentials and session information. We use it to know who you are and whether you have an active plan.
If you buy a plan
Payments are handled by Polar, acting as merchant of record. Polar collects and processes your payment details and any billing information required for tax purposes. We never see or store your card details.
On our own infrastructure (a Cloudflare Worker) we store a single record per paying customer: your account identifier and whether your plan is active. That is the entire contents of our database.
Technical logs
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request information such as IP addresses and browser type in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use this for tracking or profiling.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal data.
- We do not use advertising trackers or third-party marketing pixels.
- We do not look at, store or train anything on your images.
Who else is involved
Three providers process data on our behalf, each under their own privacy policy:
- Clerk — accounts and sign-in.
- Polar — payments, invoicing and tax, as merchant of record.
- Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery.
How long we keep things
Account and entitlement records are kept while your account exists. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove them, though Polar may be required to retain invoice and tax records for a statutory period.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and its records. Write to teamgenbreakers@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Bettershots is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, for account holders, say so by email.
