The short version: what you make with Bettershots is yours. Use it commercially, no attribution needed. Don’t resell the tool itself, and understand that a browser tool like this comes without guarantees.
Agreement
By using Bettershots you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the service.
What the service is
Bettershots is a browser-based studio for turning screenshots into presentable visuals — device and browser mockups, backgrounds, effects, and image or video exports. It runs on your own machine, in your browser.
Your account
Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.
We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms or the law.
Your content and what you make
The images, videos and text you bring remain entirely yours. We claim no ownership over them, and because everything is processed in your browser, we never receive a copy.
Exports you create are yours to use however you like, including commercially, with no attribution required.
You are responsible for having the right to use whatever you put into the tool — screenshots of other people’s products, trademarks, photographs and so on.
Built-in assets
Bettershots ships with device frames, 3D models, backgrounds and visual effects sourced from third parties under open licences. You may use them freely in the visuals you export. You may not extract them from the app and redistribute them as standalone assets.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Bettershots to:
- Create material that is illegal, infringing, or that impersonates someone in order to deceive.
- Reverse-engineer, resell or rebrand the service as your own product.
- Attack, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our infrastructure.
Free and paid plans
Bettershots has a free tier with limits, and paid Pro plans that remove them. Current features and prices are shown in our pricing section.
Payments are processed by Polar as merchant of record. Polar handles billing, invoicing and applicable taxes, and your purchase is also subject to their terms. Monthly plans renew automatically until cancelled; a lifetime purchase is a single payment.
Prices can change, but a change never affects a lifetime licence already bought, and we will give notice before it affects an active subscription.
Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
Availability
We aim to keep Bettershots running and improving, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, and we may discontinue the service — if we ever do, we will give account holders reasonable notice.
No warranty
Bettershots is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be error-free, that exports will suit a particular purpose, or that your locally stored work cannot be lost. Keep your own copies of anything important.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost work arising from your use of Bettershots. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the last change, and continuing to use the service after an update means accepting it.
